In a class of 30 students, one-third are Math Club members, one-sixth are Poetry Club members and the rest are from different organizations. How many students in the class are from different organizations?

Sagot :

Math club = 1/3 of 30 = 10
Poetry club = 1/6 of 30 = 5
Rest = 30-15 = 15

therefore, there are 15 students from diff organizations.
Math club members will be [tex] \frac{30}{3} [/tex] which is 10.
Poetry club members will be [tex] \frac{30}{6} [/tex] which is 5.

The formula for finding the number of students left is 30 minus math club members added to poetry club members. So it will be 30 - (10 + 5) which is 15.

The answer is 15.
