How to factor equations easily?

Sagot :

domini
Well, there are no simple or shortcut methods on how to find factors...
 Factoring could be tricky...
Because you have to figured out what got multiplied to produce the equation you are given.

But otherwise... If you're talking about identities or special products' factor... Then here it is...

a² - b² = (a+b)(a-b)
a
² + 2ab + b² = (a+b)(a+b) or (a+b)²
a
² - 2ab + b² = (a-b)(a-b) or (a-b)²
a
³ + b³ = (a+b)(a²-ab+b²)
a
³ - b³ = (a-b)(a²+ab+b²)
a
³+3a²b+3ab²+b³ = (a+b)³
3
a
³-3a²b+3ab²-b³ = (a-b)³

Hope it Helps =)

I seconded that too Domini...

According to my book, there's no simple patterns or formulas beside from the given formulas. Just like, shortcut. But mathematicians consider that the formula that is written above by domini are considered to be shortcut methods. But if you mind, you can use trial and error to find it simply. But it depends on you of where you're comfortable with. Hope that helps you a lot ^_^
