What have you learned about the narrative?

Upon reading the story, I learned that you can't please everyone. If you try to please everyone you might end up pleasing no one. In the story, the man and the son ended up losing the donkey.

What is your reaction about the narrative?

I'm a little bit sad towards the whole story because the father and son struggle to ignore the remarks of other people and try listening to them that's why they ended up losing their animal.

What do you think the author tried to convey in this narrative? (theme)

I believe that the theme of the story is acceptance.
