essay about a safety rule that you think is important but people often ignore because it seems like following it will ruin their fun?

Sagot :

One safety rule that exists for our own sake, but is oftentimes overlooked, is the rule regarding jaywalking. This rule prohibits citizens from crossing roads or streets unless where specifically allowed. Citizens can only cross the roads through the built footbridge, or through the assigned pedestrian lanes. However, this rule is overlooked most of the time by many people.

Why do we do this?

If one would think about it, the goal of the rule with regards to jaywalking is simple: so that citizens may cross to the other side of the road or street in a safe manner. Thus, we can say that laws like this only aim for our safety. However, it is a sad truth that not everyone sees this. Even if some do, some still choose to cross the roads in their own, albeit dangerous, way.

Some of the reasons one may give as supposed justification in this law-breaking activity include:

  • No one is implementing the fines/sanctions in breaking it.
  • No law enforcement person is watching.
  • No civilian would care enough to reprimand them.
  • "Everybody does it anyway."
  • The designated footbridge is too far from where they are from/where they are going to.

The list could go on, but none of these is enough justification to break such a simple law for safety.
