This isn't really a question but I am writing a paper for my subject General Psychology and I chose a topic that's somewhat unfamiliar to me; homosexuality. I've never really paid attention to this issue before. So, I just wanna check with you guys. "Is treating homosexuality ethical?" That's the main question that's going to be the centre of my paper. Thank you guys
P.S. It's not really an English subject

Sagot :

By treating you mean medical/psychological treatment right?

This is debatable. Some consider homosexuality as a mental illness while some do not. So for those who consider it as a mental illness, the degree of being ethical depends on the type of treatment that will be given to the patient and if the patient has consented.

On the other hand, those who do not consider it as an illness would say otherwise.

Hope this helps. Good luck!
Just like what have the previous user, Iamprince, said, this topic is totally debatable. Treating homosexuality is somehow neutral for me. I don't know, I just find myself in the middle: either for or against. Loving another person with the same sex is both correct and wrong. There's nothing wrong with being gay or being a les-bian and to be honest, I'm actually studying on an all-girl school that's why I can relate a bit with this topic. Well, in my school, many support or are for in this topic. I honestly know many who are les-bians and I saw how much their relationship with each other lasts. They said, a girl to girl relationship lasts longer than a normal relationship but for me, can't tell. If you truly and genuinely love that person which have a same sex as you do, then why not? But the thing is, it completely oppose our Christian living; it oppose the bible and God. We study on a Catholic school and this is like a battle between love and Christian faith. The bible said that man and woman are the one compatible with each other and good thing there are also students, whom I know, against this homosexual thing and go with the side of the bible.

So yeah, can be either for or against.
