Further explanation

Linear motion consists of 2: constant velocity motion with constant velocity and uniformly accelerated motion with constant acceleration

An equation of uniformly accelerated motion

[tex]\large {\boxed {\bold {x = xo + vo.t + \frac {1} {2} at ^ 2}}}[/tex]

V = vo + at

Vt² = vo² + 2a (x-xo)

x = distance on t

vo / vi = initial speed

vt / vf = speed on t / final speed

a = acceleration

Acceleration is a change in speed within a certain time interval

a = Δv / Δ t

[tex]\displaystyle a = \frac {v2-v1} {t2-t1}[/tex]

The velocity graph with respect to time (v-t) in this motion will be in the form of sloping straight lines with a gradient of tan θ = a

For acceleration that is positive (a> 0) is called accelerated motion, the graph is sloping upward, while for acceleration that is negative (a <0) is called slowed down motion, the graph is sloping downward

Students conduct an experiment with a cart to find out the relationship between force and acceleration on objects. They use a rubber band to pull the train with a given variable rubber band that is getting bigger (1 rubber band to 4 rubber bands).

From the results of a ticker tape timer graph relationship is made between v-t to determine its acceleration

when the cart was pulled, the paper tape will be pulled through the timer. And as the paper tape was pulled through the timer, small dots were formed on the tape.

To make a v-t graph, then every 6th dot thereafter and cut the tape along these points (picture attached). Then the strips are arranged  side by side in order on a graphing paper to produce the tape chart

With the increasing number of rubber bands the cart will move faster because of the greater tensile force, so the acceleration is greater

So every dots on the ribbon will have the same time.

In the reading of this dots actually included the direction of motion or direction of the force in the result, but because it is not listed here we assume that the reading is done from left to right.

So from the reading of the dots it was concluded that the distance of the dots was getting more wide, meaning that the velocity was getting bigger, so the cart was said to have accelerated motion.

If we make a graph (the total distance traveled by the

cart) with each piece having the same number of dots, the v-t graph will form a straight upward-line (picture attached, here for example we use 10 points)

So each strip represents the average velocity of the cart over a time interval (the acceleration)

The conclusion is

Each stripe has the same dots because it shows the total distance traveled by the cart is the same

 While the difference is the distance of each dots in each strips is different because it has a different speed for each time interval (the faster)
