There are a lot of devices that we can find inside the live audio room. Most of these devices require electricity to be able to function properly.

Here are the list of devices that is in need of electricity to function:

Microphones  

  • Also called as mic or mike. A device that creates or converts sound into an electrical signal.

Computer

  • It is vital these days as since most of the recording studios now a days are digital.

Audio Console

  • This is a common equipment that can be found in any radio station. It is being used by a radio announcer that is being heard on air.

Level Meters

  • This can control the audio system and can determine if the audio is too loud or too soft.

On Air Light

  • This is the sign where you will notice a light on it that shows color green if the microphone is on and red if not. These lights are commonly used by all audio rooms.

Intercom

  • There would be a need for some announcers to communicate to different radio stations in the area and that is why an intercom is needed.

Phone Talkback System

  • This is used if the announcer needs to take in calls while on air.  

Studio Monitor Speakers

  • These are type of speakers that enables the announcer to clearly hear and makes it easy for them to know what is going on air without using the headphones.
