is grendel a greedy monster? why?

Sagot :

In the epic Beowulf, the character of Grendel is portrayed as a monstrous creative that lives in so much anger and greed that when he met his end he was helpless as he retired to the mountains where he died. Definetly, as portrayed Grendel is indeed a greedy monster. His greediness is portrayed in the form of harrasing people whenever he is and eating them with no mercy. His behavior to do so will tell you that despite troubling a lot of people, he will do all things, eat as many people as he wants, as much as his heart contents. This is a true evidence of how this monster lives on greed all along. However, if we examine his character, we can see that despite his greed we can acknowledge the fact that it can either be fueled up by his long time isolation and rejection and severe loneliness which led him to become greedy when he was able to move from kingdom to kingdom. This is a typical example of how a person's behavior can be greatly influenced by the experiences he had went through his life.
