When we say Sacramentals, it refers to the objects, signs or gestures that the priest, bishops, or even the deacons are using to add reverence during the activity. We need this sacramentals like in the celebration of the Eucharist. If we can noticed, there are different gestures and materials that the priests and the people who are serving the mass are using. Like for example the host and the chalice. These two are representation of the body and blood of Jesus which we always commemorate during the mass. These are sacramentals that the lay people can easily associate with Jesus. Every time they are receiving the host they will realize that the one they are receiving is the body of Jesus Christ.
