2. TIME Melting Men: Néle Azevedo Brazilian artist Néle Azevedo carved thousands of figures out of ice. She placed them on city steps and left them in the sun to melt. Although the work was originally created for a different purpose, Azevedo embraced the fact that people also saw it as a comment on the issue of global warming and the melting of the polar ice caps over the coming years.
