In the First Quarter, we have learned about the importance of reading as well as the application of the different reading styles or strategies. Reading is an important skill in learning a language. Same with reading, listening is also an important skill that one must be able to learn. In our Second Quarter, we will be focusing on the importance of another skill in learning which is listening. Listening is important in all aspects of our lives. Listening, though often underrated, is one of the most essential skills we use in our day-to-day communication. When done right, it enables us to completely understand matters we hear and come up with appropriate feedback when needed. Whether we listen for a specific idea or an array of more complex concepts and details, it is vital that we know how to employ ways that can help us listen effectively.
