Rizvi, Stice & Agras (1998) studied the eating patterns and attitudes to body image of a group of adult women who had recently given birth. Data was collected from several sources the Body Mass Index, the Eating disorder Inventory, and two questionnaires. This was followed up six years later. The results showed that, although there was a decrease over time in abnormal eating behavior such as binge eating, fasting, and strict dieting, negative attitudes towards body image increased. The result of this study contrasted with those Heartherton, Mahamedi, Stripe, Field, & Keel (1997), who studied a sample of college students aged 20-22, with a 10-year follow-up. Heartherton et al found that abnormal eating patterns decreased between adolescence and adulthood in women. Name of the researcher(s). When was the research published?
