El Nido is the most beautiful place I have ever visited in the Philippines. I
also love Boracay because of its white powdery sand especially along station 1
but El Nido is something else. I have to say that everything in El Nido is
expensive. We walked downtown and decided to eat in a carideria. We were
surprised that a small bottle of soda cost 70 pesos. I ordered a sandwich and it
cost 35O pesos. It was very expensive. We decided to buy food from the wet
market and cook it in out hostel. We saved a lot of money. The Islands off El
Nido are some of the most beautiful cathedrals of limestone that you can ever
see. These islands are formed into different shapes and sizes. One island looks
like a helicopter. Another island looks like an inverted umbrella. We had lunch
on one island and I was scared because I saw a monitor lizard. The waters are
so clear that you would think your boat is just merely floating. They said that
this limestone grows by one decimeter per year which makes it more amazing.
I have also been to some of its beautiful beaches like Nacpan, Las Cabanas,
and Marimegmeg. They all look like paradise where you can find white sand
and turquoise water. There are a few cottages and restaurants nearby but that
is fine because they make these places more stunning.
