Fraction means part of a whole.

Proper fraction means denominator is bigger than numerator.
ex. 1/2, 2/3, 3/5
Improper fraction is simply the opposite.
ex. 3/2, 4/3, 5/2
Mixed number is a fraction with a whole number beside it.
ex. [tex]a \frac{1}{3} [/tex], [tex]2 \frac{2}{3} [/tex]
Similar fraction means fraction with similar denominator.
ex 2/3 and 1/3, 3/4 and 1/4
Dissimilar of course is the opposite.
ex. 1/2 and 1/3, 5/4 and 2/3
Numerator is the number on the top of the bar in a fraction.
ex. 2 is the numerator is 2/3
Denominator is on the bottom.
ex 3 is the denominator in 2/3
Equivalent fraction is simply fraction with the same value when simplified.
ex. 2/4 and 1/2, 2/3 and 4/6
Fraction more than one is simply fraction that is more than one, it can simply be identified if numerator is bigger than denominator(improper fraction).
ex. 3/2, 4/3, 5/3
Fraction equal to one is simply fraction with the same numerator and denominator.
ex. 2/2, 3/3, 4/4
Finally, fraction less than one is simply proper fraction.
ex 1/2, 2/3
