the sum of the digit of a two digit number is 12. the value of the number is 6 times the unit digit. find the number.

Sagot :

the first number will be 12/7 and the second will be 10 2/7
the equation goes like this.. x+6x=12
If you mean the ones digit, I have found the answer after how many times. First, divide 12 by 2. (Warning! I am just a Grade 7 student and I don't know how to solve this problem with shortcuts so I am answering this question by trial and error.)
6 is the answer so that means.
6+6=12
(6+1)+ 6-1) = 12 or 7+5=12
8+4=12
9+3=12
Question; What are the digits made by combining these numbers?
Answers:
66      93   48
75      39
57      84
Try these numbers.
Ex. 66=6x6
     66=36, False
Ex.   75=5x6
        75=30, False
Ex. 57=7x6
      57=42. False
Ex. 93=3x6
      93=18,False
Ex. 39=9x6
      39=54,False
Ex. 84=4x6
      84=24, False
Ex. 48=8x6
      48=48, True!!!
Therefore, my answer is 48! Check 4+8=12
8x6=48
So 48 is my answer!

10+2=12(not included: this is not included because it will make a 3 digit number once the digits will be together.)
