How can I arrange fractions from smallest to biggest

Sagot :

First if the fractions are dissimilar... get the LCD ( Least Common Denominator) of the fractions then divide the LCD you got to the recent denominator then multiply the quotient with the numerator. then arrange it.

3/5, 4/7, 5/8

their LCD is 280

3/5 = n/280           (280 ÷ 5) × 3 = 168    ==> 3/5 = 168/280

then do the same with other fractions then after that arrange them... either descending ( greatest to least) or ascending (least to greatest)
:)
Just change all of them to decimals first then compare them and you will know which of them is the greatest and you will be able to arrange them in any order you want.
Example:

1/2,  3/4, 5/8, 9/10, 20/50, 80,100 (Arrange them in ascending order=meaning =, from least to greatest)
Remember: To make fractions to decimals, divide the numerator by the denominator.)

1/2= 1 divided by 2= 0.5
3/4 = 3 divided by 4 = 0.75
5/8 = 5 divided by 8 =0.625
