What happens when you slowly pulled the cardboard? Explain
What happens when you flicked the cardboard? Explain
What happens when you hit the coin at the bottom? Why is this so?

Sagot :

1.) When I slowly pulled the cardboard, the coin placed on top of the cardboard remained at rest but was dragged along with cardboard. That is because, the coin was dragged by the force in the surface of the cardboard called friction.

2.)
Based on our experiment, when the cardboard was flipped, the coin fell on the bottom of the glass. This is because, the gravitational force was the one who pushed it downward after the cardboard was flipped. Since the cardboard was gone, there is no more force to hold the coin.

3.) When I hit the bottom coin, only the bottom coin moved efficiently. The other coins at the top of the bottom coin might have moved a little but they were able to stay in the stack unlike the bottom coin. The bottom coin moved because its inertia was not able to suppress the force exerted that was able to be in contact with it. The other coins that were not hit were able to stop the force enough to stay in the  stack because of their inertia.
