What did Daedalus invent to help them escape from Labyrinth?
Daedalus and Icarus escaped the labyrinth by flying off in wings he made from materials that are available in the area.
The wings were made of:
- Wax was collected from melted candles which were their only source of artificial light during night time.
- Feathers were taken from birds that were perching on the tower walls.
- Pieces of wood were probably scattered all over the place since they were used as frames for the wings.
So again, Daedalus invented wings out of wood, wax, and feathers to help them escape from the labyrinth.
