According to the poem, the schoolboy is whining with his satchel, creeping like a snail, and is unwilling to go to school. Often we see kids acting like this when it is their first time to go to school and find it hard to go out of their homes and study.

I feel happy when I see kids that are hesitant to go to school because I knew that behind that hesitation is an excited young fellow, curious about the new environment that he is about to discover, and a little scared of his teacher. I am sure that just like the others these kids will later enjoy schooling and will be very at ease to express themselves inside the classroom while showcasing their talents and impressing their parents and their teacher. Inasmuch as each kid will be happy to be recognized and noticed by someone older than them.
I also feel sad whenever I see kids that are unwilling to go to school because somehow it is a sign that they are not well guided and prepared for schooling. Generally, parents are the one who should prepare their kids for schooling but unluckily not all parents have the time to do that. Because they are too busy with their work, they tend to neglect their duty that is why most kids are not prepared to leave home and go to school. They are in short of proper guidance and inspiration that will motivate them to go to school regularly.
Aside from being happy and sad, I also feel excited about seeing schoolboys hesitant to go to school. I know it will be a great challenge for the teacher and because of that she must have exciting activities that might catch each schoolboy’s attention in order for them to get engaged and stay in school. Since most schoolboys love playing, the teacher should be ready to give them time to adjust and be ready for the lessons that she is about to give them. They should not be deprived from playing so that they will not be frightened or shocked.
I even feel reminiscing when I see kids that are hesitant to go to school. It reminds me of my childhood. Because I was too attached with my mom, I find it very difficult to be with other kids and with a teacher that would look after us for a few hours. In fact, I never allow my mom to leave as she escorts me inside the classroom which looks like a huge play pen. How well I remember how my teacher would hold my arms and assist me on the way to my chair because I am too hesitant to enter the classroom.
