Biology is the natural science that studies life and living organisms, including their physical structure, chemical processes, molecular interactions, physiological mechanisms, cognition, and even evolution.

Biology examines the cell as the basic unit of life, the gene as the basic unit of inheritance, and evolution as the engine that drives the reproduction and extinction of species. Living organisms are open systems that survive the transfer of energy and the reduction of their local entropy to maintain the slow and important condition called "homeostasis".
Whose invented the biology?
Aristotle was a Greek philosopher and polymath during the Classical period in Ancient Greece. Taught by Plato, he was the founder of the Lyceum, the Peripatetic school of philosophy, and the Aristotelian tradition and he called it History of Biology.
