Personal Barriers

Why do we need to be Physically Active?

I can personally guarantee that being physically active will give you an enormous benifit in life.

Why?

Physical activies can give you a lot of benifits not just in physical aspect but in psychological aspect as well. Executing some light exercises regularly will help us increase the serotinin level in our brains (aslo known as one of the natural happy pill in our body) which helps to be more light hearted, improve ourselves for the time-being, and also helps us to avoid depression.

Why you think you do not get as much physical activity as you should?

Hindrances will always occur in life but we can avoid/solve it and the first step is knowing what is it.

1. Laziness

  • If being lazy is a common thing for you then it might be the first one to hinder you from being physically active. That simple household chores, such as laundry, which you kept passing unto someone else inside your house can be counted as a physical activity. Being lazy often lead us to not do the things we should be doing right away and just asks other people for us to do it instead, is one of those things which hinders us to be physically active. If you can do it now, do it already for youself and to avoid bothering other people as well.

2. Poor Time-Management

  • Some of you might often say that you don't have time for physical activies because of work, school activities, or any other reasons you have in life but I don't think that is the real deal. It is already enough for people to be physically active for just 150 minutes doing moderate activities in a week, which is less than 30 minutes a day. Bottomline, being physically active won't consume much of your time and you just probably spend much of your day to do a lot other stuffs which are less important than executing some physical activities.

3. Doesn't like/want to do it.

  • For an unknown reasons, some people just don't like doing physical activies or getting their äss worked up. People say, you make time for the things which are important to you, so being physically active is probably not their priority in life or for the time-being.

Each in every one of us lives in a different way/kind of living so these things that I listed might be or not be applicable to you depending on the way you live and the factors that might affect it such us your environment, but I tried to make it in such a way that others will see the hindrances in their life to be physically active as well. I suggest that you think about your personal hindrances in your life, too, so you can practice your critical thinking skills and for your self-assessment as well.
