1. As a teacher, it is your utmost duty to assist the student in their studies and areas of difficulties. You can start by motivating them and inspiring them that it is not impossible to keep up with the class and offering them tutoring if possible. You can ask them on which parts they struggle most with and then start to teach them.

2. You should not let the student give up just because they think they can't do it, instead you should encourage them to put more effort and put lesser pressure on theirself because pressure messes with our mindsets and messes with the way we think.
