STP (Shielded Twisted Pair) cables - these are types of networking cables which is mainly used for telephone and data wirings. The function is similar to UTP cables, only that these cables has extra foil wrapping or jacket to give more shields to the cable away from noises and interference. Due to additional cover of STPs, it much heavier than UTP cables and could result to harder installations. But this works longer.
