  • It is a widespread genus of extinct  seed-bearing flowerless plants generally referred to as Glossopteridales.  The genus name means the language  Fern because of the leaves' general appearance.

  • Sadly, nobody knows  the species' exact appearances.  Some people said it looks like  a bush or shrub, but it's feedy.  The temperate or warm climate, with medium to high latitudes,  was said to have risen, with feverish plants now growing.  It confirms paleoclimate data that place Antarctica during the Permanent period in a sub-tropical climate zone.
