YOUR TASK ARE:
(1) BRIEFLY DESCRIBE THE SITUATION SHOWN IN EACH PICTURE
(2) EXPLAIN HOW THE ACTIVITY CONTRIBUTES TO OR CAUSED MASS EXTINCTION
1.The shown situation is dynamite fishing. Dynamite fishing is a harmful and destructive fishing practice. Dynamite fishing not only harms coral reefs, but it also harms the ocean floor and kills a large number of planktons, which are a food source for many different types of fish.
2.Deforestation is the purposeful clearing of forest to reshape those areas from remote to developed areas. Deforestation is bad because not only are we chopping down the trees that are cleaning the air that we breathe, we are also responsible for many animals' losing their native habitats. which led to their mass extinction.
3.Animal poaching is when an animal is killed illegally because it has a valuable item (i.e., fur, tusks, and horns). Many animals have suffered just because hunters want to sell their body parts on the black market. Animal poaching is responsible for countless extinctions in many places in the world. Some animals have been classified as endangered because of this illegal activity.
4.Climate change and water pollution. Climate change refers to long-term weather changes that have occurred since a long time ago and are the result of man-made activities such as the use of fossil fuels, deforestation, etc. Climate change has been a threat. And it is melting the glaciers at the north pole. Water pollution is caused by humans who throw away plastic into the bodies of water. Some ocean animals get stuck or, worse, they eat the plastic. Many animals living in the north pole are losing their habitats as a result of climate change as glaciers melt.
Hope it helps..
