In the last part of the article entitled Does the Truth Matter, the author mentioned this line: "We may make decisions based on things we want to be true rather than the real state of the world." What do you think does the author mean by this? How is this evident in the society at present time? (Answer in 5-7 sentences)

(5 Points)

The sentence "We may make decisions based on things we want to be true rather than the real state of the world." means that we make our decisions or judgements based on the things that we think is true rather than the truth that has been buried under a mountain of misrepresentations. We always believe in some lies thinking that are true and we make bad decisions because of it. Every day, we deceive ourselves. We convince ourselves we're smarter and more attractive than our peers, that our politician can't go wrong, and that we're too preoccupied to assist a coworker. Since our ancestors began living in sophisticated society, figuring out who to trust and who not to trust has been a part of human life. Politics has always developed individuals who will deceive in an attempt to get an advantage.

2.After reading the article The 6 Most Dangerous Fallacies of Social Media, what are some of the things that you believe about social media which were debunked by the article? Answer in 5-7 sentences.

Hundreds of millions of individuals use social media to share knowledge and build connections all over the world. On my opinion, Social media allows you to contact with friends and family, learn new things, develop your interests, and be entertained. However, some information about social media are fake and I believed some of them. These are 3 things that I believed about social media: Social media is hard, Social Media is Fast and some websites are easy to use and easy to buy. Knowing some of the truths about social media made feel quite relieved. I sometimes trust the information about social media because they have great arguments and some evidence. Though, the evidences were fake or fabricated by some people and the people who made the articles believed it just like I believed it. Sometimes, fake news travels faster than the truth resulting to a lot of people being deceived.
