The Taximan's Story
by: Catherine Lim

2.Moral Issue
3.Economic Issue

Sagot :

Answer:

1. Social issue><

Explanation:

I don't know if it's correct or wrong

Answer:

The taximan found out that her shy and studious daughter moonlights and possibly looks for tourists to go out at night. Like the other children who throws in a sexy outfit at night once they go out of school, the taximan's daughter is no exemption. This is what drove the taximan angry.

Explanation:

In this story by Catherine Lim, we see the taximan telling his passenger who is a teacher the ills of the generations today. He goes on to compare the discipline set forth in their generation (e.g. they are caned) as opposed to the liberated nature of the youth today. He also gives the teacher some information about the changes in Singapore.

Style:

The storyteller uses a monologue technique for readers to focus only on the taximan. Readers are aware about the presence of a passenger but her voice was never drawn out. Readers know that the passenger asks questions but the focus is on the taximan's reply.
