The Philippines: It's like a cultural mix!  It's in Southeast Asia, but has influences from both Western countries (Spanish, American) and Eastern ones (China).

Similarities with Neighbors: Like some neighbors, Filipinos value family, eat rice a lot, and some even follow the same religion (Buddhism).

Differences: The Philippines is mostly Christian  (thanks to Spain), has its own delicious food (think Spanish and Malay mix!), and boasts amazing music and dances.  Plus, being an island nation, different regions have their own cultures and languages.
