There are more differences than similarities between an epic poem and a lyric poem.

An epic poem is a lengthy narrative poem which often involves a hero or someone with supernatural powers.

On the other hand, a lyric poem is a formal type of poetry which expresses personal emotions or feelings, typically spoken in the first person. It is susceptible of being sung to the accompaniment of a musical instrument 

SIMILARITIES

Basically, the two are similar in a sense that they are both forms of poetry. Also, both an epic poem and a lyric poem talks about a certain person. However, they differ on the emphasis. An epic poem focuses on the journey of the hero while a lyric poem focuses more on the feelings and emotions of that certain person.
